Sustainable urban gardening for nature, families and food
Megalos Gardens is an urban oasis.
A garden design and education business since 1990, Megalos Gardens is located on a private residence nestled in the Cary Suburbia. Our property is a balance of native woodland plants and animals with attractive urban edible designs on just under a half an acre.
The garden is a place to demonstrate my various skills and experiments. Nature and food production find a balance among suburban community life. Schedual a private garden tour for your small group!
The sunny, terraced front yard features small scale edible gardens including tea plants, blueberries, strawberries, vegetable beds, kitchen herb garden and beneficial insect attracting perennial flowers.
Current projects include raised bed gardening, perennial edibles for small gardens, natural pest control, native bird and reptile habitat enhancement, plant propagation, micro animal husbandry "farming" with guinea pigs, rabbits and composting.
